RFID
Means Business
Welcome to the Summer
2008 edition of the Motorola RFID newsletter. Our goal is to communicate the growing
number of benefits that businesses in every industry are achieving by deploying RFID
solutions. From retail and manufacturing, to logistics and yard management and beyond,
RFID is enabling more and more businesses to achieve greater visibility into their
material and product management processes, and ultimately streamline operations toward
increased profitability. The increased adoption of RFID in the retail space is just one
example of this momentum. Retail companies like New Balance, Falabella, American Apparel
and Liverpool, have all deployed RFID to increase inventory accuracy, reduce
out-of-stocks, and streamline their supply chain operations. In fact, American Apparel has
now finished an RFID deployment to all 17 of its New York area stores, with near-term
expansion plans for RFID deployment in 120 more stores throughout North America
For Motorola, the event showcased how far our RFID offerings have come - the breadth of
form factors, the increasing variety of technologies that are expanding the abilities of
traditional passive RFID, the growing number of specific industry solutions available, and
the increasing role of wireless and mobility technologies to extend the value of RFID
across the enterprise. As the technology continues to evolve and converge across data
capture, mobility and communication segments, Motorola is committed to translating our
technology innovation into increasing business value for our customers.
We invite you to take a few moments to browse this newsletter and learn more about how Motorola and our strong ecosystem of customers and partners are applying innovative RFID solutions to address a growing number of business challenges. Then call us.
We'd love the opportunity to show your organization the benefits of RFID, because Motorola
RFID solutions mean business.
